For a first job

Your first contract deserves more than the signature you made up in school.

An offer letter, a lease, a bank account. The next year is full of first signatures. Start with one you chose.

Twenty original directions for your full name, in about a minute. Free to try; the kit is $19, if one of them is worth keeping.

Three directions the studio would draw for a first job

Confident · sharp · fully readable

Readable end to end, for an offer letter that someone in HR will actually look at.

Understated · flowing · signature-legible

The one for the next thousand signatures: fast, calm, and the same every time.

Commanding · sharp · signature-legible

A little more presence, for the day the signature starts going on things that matter.

Studio drawings of an example name, made by the same engine that draws the paid kit and chosen on the briefs that suit this moment. Yours are drawn on your own name — twenty of them — and you choose.

The moment

Why this is the time

Most people are still signing with something they invented at sixteen, in a hurry, on the back of a school form. It was never designed; it just stuck. The first job is the last easy moment to replace it, before it is on a hundred documents.

The studio draws your full name — the one on the offer letter — in twenty directions, from fully readable to a signature only you need to read. You choose. The three you pick are drawn up properly, with the report and the lesson.

You do not need to decide what you want it to look like first. Type your name, see the directions, and pick the ones that look like someone you would hire.

The kit

What you keep

  • Three finished directions on your full name, chosen by you from twenty.
  • Transparent PNG and SVG for the offer letter, the e-signing tools and your email.
  • A written report that explains each mark, so you know what you are signing with.
  • The lesson and practice sheets, so it is yours before the first day.

How it works

Three steps, one question

  1. Type the full name. No brief, no style quiz. The name is the brief.
  2. See twenty directions, drawn in about a minute, from fully readable to signature-legible.
  3. Keep three. The files, the report and the lesson arrive straight after checkout.

Questions

Asked before buying

Does a professional signature need to be readable?

No. Plenty of professional signatures are not. But a readable first-and-last-name signature is the safest default for a first contract, and the studio always draws several so the choice is yours.

What if I do not know what style I want?

You are not asked. The studio draws twenty directions and you pick three. The choosing is the brief.

Can I use the files for e-signing and email?

Yes. The PNG has a transparent background and the SVG scales to any size, which is what DocuSign, Adobe Sign and an email footer each want.

How much is it?

Seeing the twenty directions is free. The kit — the files, the report and the lesson — is $19.
